Ribbon Biolabs, a multi awarded young biotech company with locations in Vienna, Austria and in Klosterneuburg (outskirts of Vienna), is working on developing the next technological wave of error-proof DNA synthesis. With its approach, Ribbon Biolabs is developing a cost-efficient platform to produce long and complex DNA molecules, thereby enabling a new generation of biopharmaceutical processes and other synthetic biology products. 

As a company with ambitious growth plans, we are currently seeking to expand our team with a motivated and proactive  Key Account Manager (m/f/d).

Your Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Put Customers First: respond efficiently and promptly to customer requests 
  • Build relationships at multiple levels and establishing technical credibility with accounts 
  • Evaluate and implement a CRM or ERP system. Work closely together with relevant stakeholder within Ribbon 
  • Organize and maintain CRM system 
  • Develop specific account growth strategy, account mapping and penetration 
  • Research accounts to drive new business 
  • Provide forecasting and reporting as required 
  • Collaborate with marketing team to identify potential leads and generate interest 
  • Develop a sales strategy by territory, e.g. direct sales or via distributors 
  • Receive customer referrals from users of Ribbon Biolabs products 

Your Qualification and Skills: 

  • Degrees in Life Sciences or related subjects are beneficial 
  • Sales experience welcomed, preferably in consumables, or kit business serving academic, industrial, government, and/or pharmaceutical accounts 
  • Experience with organizing and maintaining CRM information 
  • Ability to properly identify and qualify opportunities, customer driven 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Hands-on experience with methods in molecular biology via prior work experience and/or education is a benefit 
  • Excellent time management, presentation and active listening skills 
  • Knowledge of the Ribbon Biolabs product portfolio or product portfolio of similar nature is considered an advantage 
  • Driven, motivated, and outstanding teammate 
  • You show flexibility to remote-working patterns and have ability to travel when necessary (up to 60%). 
  • You will honour commitments and strive for positive professional relationship with customers, colleagues, and leadership. 
  • Business fluent in German and English

By Austrian law, we are obliged to specify the minimum salary level by a collective agreement, which is Euro 47.000,- to EUR 53.150,- gross per year (full time). However, we offer a higher salary adjusted to your experience and qualifications.

Job type:Full time (40 h per week).  

Location: This role is for our office in Vienna.
